- Peculiar/singular whisky. Requires a lot of time to open up in the glass. Takes a little water, and more time. Off-notes disappear with time. I suspect a few mediocre casks were used in this bottling, or tainted by bung cloth.
Nevertheless; interesting and educational.
W/o water sal ammoniac, sweet and savoury, oranges, malt, sweet marinade. Complex.
W/ water definitely sweeter. Perfumed incense. Intriguingly complex
W/o water sweet oranges arrival, direct shifting to bitter dry development, wood sap. Bitter sweet of lemons and rum-raisins
W/ water sweet arrival. Develops from honey sweetness to sweet and sour, oranges, salty notes.
Bitter, salty, citrus fruits, long.
Subtle, fresh, sweet, honey, apples, vanilla
Sweet malt, sherry, figs, chocolate, raisins, smoked ham
Medium long, soft, vanilla
