  1. ASWhisky scored this whisky 81 points Connoisseur

The whisky looks immature and has little tension
the alcohol note is a minus
    Nose and finish seem lax
the mouth is only briefly exciting and complex
    flattens off quickly
Overall, however, very nice to drink
    • Nose
      slightly alcoholic fruits
from dark ripe apricot to pineapple many fruit notes
Water notes next to a slight alcohol note
      some dust and muff
Sugar water, some chocolate, wood in the background
    • Taste
in the beginning bacon and seasoning
so may be different than the nose suggests
      then yearmark sweets
      Pepper on the tongue
      Milk chocolate on the palate
      green notes to the rear
      Fischwasser touch
in the entrance he looks complex
in the further course of the mouth he weakens significantly
    • Finish
      Pepper, water and seasoning
      Chocolate with pepper
The finish is also rather thin and not intense and complex

    From a blind tasting
Once on the tongue, this is more than a light stinging away in the nose and he presents quite well matched flavors. A Glen -...? Rather not. Although ... no, rather not. Or?

Does not smell like a glen ...
At first quite intense alcohol in the nose. He probably needs some more time in the glass. Now a trace of mild smoke ... Or a torn match? Difficult to estimate. Then come oranges and figs, something mineral, salt, pepper, Maggiwürze. Slightly musty.
    • Taste
      85 85
Pleasantly strong and warming in the beginning, spicy and with sweetness of red grapes. Dry, oaky, a hint of age oak cabinet muff. The sweetness will be more intense, oranges will come. Nougat chocolate, almonds, hazelnuts. Again, the Maggi wort. After a while on the tongue, the variety of flavors increases significantly.
    • Finish
      87 87
Medium long and very dry. Oak spice, pepper, bitter orange marmalade, nougat chocolate.

The first Woodsmoked where the smoke jumps right in my face. Great combination as heavy sweetness and the spicy bitter notes of the coniferous forest fire.
    • Nose
Light smoke, such as a smoldering forest fire, fir, roasted aromas, malt, straw, pastries, tobacco and leather, a hint of liquorice, some hay, cough syrup, grapes and, above all, sweet honey
    • Taste
wow, a lot of smoke, the most intense woodsmoked so far, also very sweet, grapes, honey, chocolate and caramel, as a counterpole are spicy notes such as pepper, oak, spruce resin and old leather, the forest fire is back, on the palate a little spicy, but not alcoholic, in the background something acidic like Physalis
    • Finish
The smoke lasts extremely long, in addition still sweet with grape skin, rather strong

  4. Marko_I did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

at Glen Els I'm getting the text out ... delicious, ham'se again made good.
    • Nose
gentle, sweet, spicy smoke, cinnamon, plum jam, sugar beet syrup, caramel, crumbed crumble cake
    • Taste
sweet, heavy, bittersweet smoke, plum jam, sugar beet syrup, caramel, nougat, Brazil nut
    • Finish
      dry smoke, cinnamon, chocolate

  5. Albaron scored this whisky 85 points Specialist

This is clearly not a Scot, which is not so bad, at least on its own, to a pronounced herbal note with a hint of smoke, quite delicious, but unfortunately also somewhat artificial and constructed.
    • Nose
Oily and somewhat sprightly alcohol, then also some dried fruit, especially raisins, but also apricots, brown cane sugar, some forest honey, a hint of wine and grape seeds, in the background also some smoke, type campfire, to a herb note, which interweaves with the grape seeds
    • Taste
the smoke is clearer here, too, not phenolic but also of the campfire type, then warming alcohol, but also raisins, apricots, cane sugar, caramelized orange, menthol, also interwoven with the smoke, plus a few herbs
    • Finish
the sweet cane sugar and the herbs lead into the finish, the raisins come again and then tannins, which come again and again

  6. Tom na Gruagaich scored this whisky 80 points Connoisseur

not as sweet as many Glen Els, so one of the good ones. I like it a lot and it's a great interpretation of whisky. Still very barreled, but not overwhelming.
    • Nose
very sweet, fruity, vinous, chocolate, some malt in the background, subtle smoke,
    • Taste
Here it is clear that it is not a Scot. the smoke is too much smoke and too little peat. In addition a strong bite alcohol, then a lot of fruit, sweet and chocolaty, accompanied by some campfire.
    • Finish
beautiful wood smoke, lots of Fricht, but also a nice mineral side, with nougat. The departure is quite short.
