Christmas in a bottle. This may come close to a PX single cask GlenDronach.
    • Nose
Wow, talking about punch and richness! I couldn't expect anything else as it sits at almost 60%. The nose is overflowing with sweet sherry, dried oranges, plums, chocolate raisins, candy apple, burnt sugar, dark rum, menthol, and a hint of solvent I guess? The solvent note sits pretty well actually, it's the good kind. What a lovely nose, it's not a wide and complex range of flavours I'm picking up but it's good. Very good.
    • Taste
A burst of sweet flavours, mouth coating and oily to the palate. The taste initially reminds me of Glengoyne 18, but now on steroids to say the least. The palate goes the same way as the nose, overpowering sherry sweetness and spicy and I'm a sucker for that. Pure chocolate, orange, caramel, raisins, sultanas, cane sugar and a hint of glue. No surprise with these notes but the age and ABV make this whisky so rich and full.
    • Finish
A long, slightly bitter and particularly sweet finish.

    Nose:-
Multi-layered and full. Strong cask influence that gives you everything
you would expect from a fine sherry oak. Dark raisin and mocha with
sour milk, with alluring olorosso sherry filling the packs. On the malt,
quite husky, roasted, guinness stout. Strange vanilla and floral are
there too. Lightly grapey. Each sniff is a discovery.

Palate:- Creamy biscuity, good depth and grounded pepper. Good weight and velvet even without water. Sweetened bitter gourd.

Finish:- Medium-long. Gum heating, spices linger. Missing just a touch more boldness compare to what it offer on the nose.
