    A still young, interesting Irish single malt made from 1st fill bourbon barrels;

    [Color] light straw;
    • Nose
      mild, citrus fruits (lime, lemon), ripe banana, vanilla;
    • Taste
      soft grassy, malty onset, tingling, spicy oak, lemon juice, some vanilla, young, simple, but well balanced;
    • Finish
      short finish, in the finish oak;

    He was once as a free sample with an order here.
    I had opened days ago, smelled and sipped.

    Yes, it is relatively bright.
    Smells very pleasant after the Bourbon barrel, but also a bit alcoholic, despite only 40%.

    In the taste quite fruity, old raisins, juniper.

    It's perfectly alright.

    Hello, Cooley! Sweet, with typical phenolic notes of aged Riesling or burned wiring (depends of what you love more). The sweetness is very appetizing - ripe yellow apples and pears, apple jam, vanilla.

    Taste is more dry than the aroma. Ripe apple with spices and plastic. Body from thin to middle, a little bit watery.

    Finish is short, with apple peel and bones.

    Very nice Irish. Simple, but solid. The "just for drinking, but no boring drinking" one.

    [January, 2016]  I had this dram during an "Irish" FoSM club tasting.In my old rating system (ten scales that translate into WB points: 50
    - 66 - 75 - 80 - 82,5 - 85 - 87,5 - 90 - 92,5 - 95) I scored it 75.  I
    took no detailed notes as this whiskey did not interest me.

    The Irish whiskey was bottled by Niche Drinks Co. Ltd., based in Northern Ireland. In color he appears pale gold.
    The smell of oak and vanilla is barely noticeable, while the fruity-kräutrige sweetness, especially peach and pear, is clearer. In the background citrus flavors, which become stronger over time. Ripe banana flashes, body and texture give malt and mash aromas and the smell of ripe grain. (81)
    In the mouth a typical Irish: quite light, with some peppery pot-still flavors, some citrus, oak barrels and malt. Unfortunately, the flavors only stay (too) short in the mouth. (68)
    The finish is relatively short and woody-malty. (67)
    Overall rating: 73 points
    Repurchase probability: 10% , unfortunately too short a lasting pleasure.

    Actually flawless fruit punch, without insane character, without difficulty accessible and therefore "gemögig".
    • Nose
      A whole variety of fruits appears: apples (with a touch of crushed seeds), peaches from the tin, etc. Then clear malt smell and some vanilla from the good barrel penetrate.
    • Taste
      - all well seasoned -
    • Finish
      - and then the silent man comes to a small explosion, whereby to the apples, pears, etc. clearly papaya fruit swings out (at the same time makes the alcohol noticeable, but we have here finally not a fruit juice in front of us ...), fine vanilla and then everything fades away quietly.

    An uncomplicated, fresh summer whiskey.
    • Nose
      In the nose yellow fruits (quince) and also banana come to light.
    • Taste
      The fruit note turns into a malt flavor.
    • Finish
      The finish is malty and medium length.

    N: Something a little Scandinavian about this, young notes of bananas, apples and a few pear drops, something rather ‘Teeling’ too in its very Irish malt-squidginess and soft, waxy confectionary.
    T: Starts soft-bitter moving straight into that ‘irish’ pot-still maltiness with more waxy, sweet hints and a toasted quality
    F: Light-sweet fade
    C: Even nicer than the blend. Further reading: LINK
