A fantastic old Bowmore. Loved the old style complex nose and mouth. Delicious dustiness mixed with peat and fruits.

    Tasting note from july 2017.
    • Nose
A mix of OBE (Old Bottle Effect) and sherry aroma. Old book, prunes, dried fruits, jam. Aeration brings exotic fruits, light smoke, leather and maritime notes.
    • Taste
Dust, peat smoke, fruits (exotic and orange) and leather.
    • Finish
Long, fruity, dusty, smoky. A pinch of salt on aftertaste.

Superb Bowmore - please reserve plenty of time for nosing and tasting.
    • Nose
My first thoughts when nosing this precious whisky: This is real old style whisky, decent, complex, old bottle flavour. Wrotten wood and a whiff of peat at first nosing. After a moment the fruitiness comes through and it becomes fruitier and fruitier, mostly passion fruit and lemonade.
    • Taste
Mellow, very pleasant, oily and smooth with a decent peatyness. Complex with aromas of leather, various spices and oranges.
    • Finish
Long and pleasant, slightly peaty in the aftertaste.
