- Smoke, fire, peat. Not penetrant however. In the scent already cherries. Little iodine? In the taste also a lot of peat. The peat is already decreasing in the second sip; it is gradually becoming milder. Warm, pleasant aftertaste. Long aftertaste.
- Indeed worth trying.
Sweet-fruit, lemon?. Orange and vanilla. But also peaty and zesty.
Comes all together; spicy, fruits, sweet fruit, peat also. But no so sweet as the nose. Still good.
Short, thats's a pity. Little bit smoke.
- Bought a little sample and didn't expect anything special.
Mään, this thing was the surprise of the evening.
This is a role model of a decently priced, peaty, fruity, zesty, wooden wonder !
All the things that Ballechin whisky is loved for are in it. The cheese. The 2-day-used socks. Some odd freshness. Mouth-watering fruits and mild spices. A used 100% cotton T-shirt with sweat all over. In the fade there are some hints of home-made "Salmiakpastillen", the kind you get in (north sea) coastal north germany and partly in the netherlands. Way better than the 10yo. distillery standard. Go and get some (if you still find it available). Surprinsingly high points. It's nothing special, though. Just a solid, old-school-ex-bourbon-peaty-87-well-earned-points.You still can get happy with that kind of whisky, if you just want to. Nuff said. It's still cheap enough to taste it by yourselves.
- good drinkable smoker
sweet and fruity with lemon and orange peel, vanilla almonds
again very fruity - not as sweet as in Nosing.
Graffruit smoke but not medically
a little more smoke
