  1. KayMeertens scored this whisky 86 points Connoisseur

    • Nose
Mango, apple, peat, white chocolate, vanilla, caramel, marzipan and furniture polish.
    • Taste
Peat, mango and apple. Rather dirty / farmy for a Springbank. With water more unripe fruit peel.
    • Finish
      Mango, peat, apple and caramel.

  5. Berrysaki scored this whisky 85 points Expert Junior

Very nice whisky, very smooth. However, a higher alcohol content would do this whisky justice.
    • Nose
Oak, peat, shortbread, hint of Maggi on the background. Lemon and orange peel, bay leaf.
    • Taste
Very easy to drink. I would expect this one to kick in a little more. Nice level of sherry, mixed with vanilla, grass and a hint of sweet liquorice.
    • Finish
Long finish. I could drink this on a summer evening as well on a winter's evening.

  6. The Macallan scored this whisky 74 points Connoisseur

To much water and this one becomes flat, not a real ace. Typical Longrow however. II have sampled better ones!
    • Nose
      Smokey, briney, sweet and vanilla
    • Taste
      Salty, smokey and fruity
    • Finish
Light sparkling, smokey, woody and drying in the back

  8. St. Pauli scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

An adolescent whisky, with some sturdy development. In any of its development stages it's very enjoyable. A very pleasant dram.
    • Nose
Quite dirty in the beginning (horse stable and horse sweat) and kind of oily/nutty (almonds and hazelnuts), developing via meat stock to a cleaner spirit with dry peat, pu erh tea, chalk, orange and caramel.
    • Taste
Full, round and coating. Dried fruits, honey, caramel, some nuts and less peat, pu erh and orange. Later, some dark chocolate too.
    • Finish
Long, full attack but then slightly drying (but in a nice way), on the fruit, dark chocolate and caramel.
