A true sherry monster with everything that goes with it. The short years of maturation in the heat of Taiwan are truly impressive. This whisky is on a par with the best Scottish sherry barrel whiskys, which usually require well over 20 years of maturation for this quality. Absolute buy recommendation!
Immediately after pouring a very dark, heavy and aromatic smell with a lot of sherry flows out of the glass. Dry Oloroso Sherry, more fruity than sweet. Lots of aromatic wood, pipe tobacco, blackberries, raisins, cherries, dark chocolate. Like Black Forest cake with a strong coffee. Later, Christmas spices are added: cinnamon sticks, gingerbread spice, orange peel and cloves.
Extremely much sherry also in the taste. Now also very sweet, the dryness from the aroma is no longer felt. Overripe blackcurrants, plums, walnuts and candy sugar. Strong oak tannins are also present, but do not overlap the sherry, they alternate well with the fruit flavors,
Lots of wood and spices stay in the mouth for a long time. Espresso dark chocolate, caramel, cinnamon and all sorts of red fruit that flashes on the cheeks again and again. Strong salivation.
