- This is a very rich, round and very well balanced dram. The flavors are very harmonious on the nose as well as on the palate. In shot this is a very elegant whisky that offers a very nice complexity and layering of flavours. It’s not a huge sherry monster but a beast of a whisky anyways.
A full, richt, concentrated, complex and well balanced whisky with aromas of ripe fruits, blackberries, bramble, sweet sherry, caramelized pineapple, backed banana, ice-cream, garnish, sweet pipe tobacco, new leather, vanilla, cinnamon, ginger, dried flowers, honey, brown sugar, toffee, plums, fresh figs, mirabell plums, apricot, pear, pinewood, sawdust, fennel seeds, old books, walnuts, teardrops, preserved lemon, stale cellar, a whiff of smoke, poached pear, earthy tones, floral tones and subtle tones of fresh ground coffee.
A powerful, rich, full, complex and wel balanced whisky with aromas of toffee, bitter orange marmalade, orange peels, lime, antique polish, garnish, stale cellar, marmalade, licorice root, plums, raisins, fig, peach, apricot, hazelnuts, juniper berries, caramel, toffee, Salvia, aniseeds, mosterd seeds, pepper, licorice, tutti-frutti, dark chocolate, cinnamon, allspice, sweet ginger, leather, subtle sweet tobacco, hint of mint, precious woods, subtle tannins, a hint of smoke and old oak.
A long, rich and slightly drying finish with aromas of chocolate, tutti-frutti, sultanas, sherry, spices, brown sugar, toffee, mocha, subtle tannins and rich creamy oak.

- Ah, a very good whisky. I do like my sherrymonsters. Well, this is not a
monster per se, but a beast at least. If you want a bottle of this, you will
need to cough up more than 450 EUR. Hence I am very grateful to my friend Jan
VC for the sample.
The sweet, creamy nose is a wonderful mix of all sorts of spices. Walnuts, aniseed, soya sauce and old sherry. Parma ham? Some earth, too.
Menthol. The sweetness translates into chocolate, fresh plums and coffee. And
it has a clear, although discrete, tracé of peat. Boy, this is very good!
I had expected it to be creamier on the palate. This is rather light.
But taste wise there is no reason for complaints. Dark chocolate with mint â€
The finish is medium in length, soft and warm.
