This Bruichladdich single malt has been aged for 12 years in a bourbon cask. It was distilled in October 2001 and has no added colour and no chill-filtration.
The nose is fresh with peat smoke, sea air and hints of ripe melon.
The palate has typical Islay notes, peat again with smoke and iodine. With time some liquorice and barley flavours come through.
The finish is warming with soot, lemon and salt.
