Whisky Reviews for North Port 1976 CA

- Fruity nose, some flowers on the palate but not in a bad way, a very enjoyable dram.
- Good nose and a fresh, spicy palate with some nice white fruit notes coming in.
North Port is an acquired taste at the best of times but my first impression is a good one.

- A nose to die for and the rest isn't too shabby either.
Geraniums, lawn clippings and new mown hay. Orange refresher sweets, pear drops, candied fruit and mixed peel. Faint hints of draff and pot ale alongside linseed oil, candle wax and pencil shavings. Astonishing complexity and worthy of nosing for hours. The nose fades a little with water.
Much more cereal on the palate. Still floral and delicate, but the malt has more of a hand in it. Water releases barley sugar and fruit followed by spices with cardamom, cloves and cinammon.
Astringent at full strength and not very long. Much longer with a drop of water . Pencil shavings and peppercorns popping all over the palate.
