- This Greenore shows that grain whisk(e)y can be very good.
Typical nose of older grain whiskey: lots of malty sweetness, candy Sugar and tropical fruit (kiwi, banana's and coconut). Also linseed.
Very powerful for a grain whiskey at 46%. Oily and waxy. Warm mouthfeel. Oranges and tangerines. Very spicy (pepper) as well.
Medium long. The sweetness remains, but becomes more influenced by salty notes.
Apricot, banana, and coconut. Mint. Creme brulee. Shoe polish.
Honey. Raisin apple tart. Marzipan icing on vanilla cake. Dried flowers.
Medium and light. Floral, and a bit herbal as well. Fruit gums.
