Day 44 of Lockdown - 30th April - Back dated for a few days. been busy messaging on WA at working group whole 1st May after the Gov announced for soft re-opening on the 4th. Back to the hut on Sat and Sun to get the place ready for business later today.

N- Retry a daily dram with not 'so' new labeling, but I think just arrived in Malaysia to replaced the old version not too long ago. White rum but dressed with fine layer of oak, fresh grassiness with sweet spices. Pleasant, easy and light with hint of eucalyptus. Sweet pickle ginger. (85/19)

P- Pickle brine with toasted oak, familiar cardboard. Light candy honey. Peppery spices and cinnamon sweet. (85/19)

F- Medium, prickly dry mouthfeel with sweet spices emerge, some spicy oak with lingering rawness at the tail. (85/19)

B/B- 85/19 CC as what you would expect, I don;t mind to have a quick quaff at this when on the go.

Not bad, but I’m not a fan.  It’s pleasant enough, but it isn’t very complex or interesting.  Also, I don’t like it as a mixer with ginger ale or lemon-lime soda nearly as much as Crown Royal or Seagram’s VO, and it’s not very interesting drinking it neat, so this one isn't going to be a regular purchase for my collection.
    • Nose
Nutty, mostly almonds and some walnut, brown sugar, oak wood, and a bit of peppery spice.
    • Taste
Maple syrup, brown sugar, molasses, caramel, vanilla, oak wood, and a hint of something vegetal.
    • Finish
Dry and short, with a bit of oak wood and caramel.
