- Tasted this dram at a Scotch and Folk tasting with Jock Shaw in may 2016.
- Great nose with the echoes of the cookie dough. Also so delicious.
Immediately, associations develop after cookie dough. Likewise very slight shades of cinnamon and some grass / hay / flower meadow. Add a little vanilla. Very attractive!
Slightly alcoholic and sweet with vanilla, caramel and light berries.
Medium long with a light spice that occupies the mouth.
- This is a fairly
straight shooting Glen Moray, but fine on the nose, palate and in the finish,
even with a good splash of water. As it should be.
The nose is
wonderfully aromatic on sweet malt, marzipan and Turkish Delight. Some freshly
cut grass, citrus and yellow plums make it complete. This is a nice nose,
The malt arrives a
bit piquant. The fruit from the nose returns, seasoned with white
pepper and liquorice. The marzipan becomes loud. That is fine. The citrus whispers, while the Turkish Delight rears its head as well. It
does not really need water, but can cope with it. It then becomes sweeter and
somewhat greener, if you know what I mean.
The finish is nicely
long, spicy, warm and sweet from the fruit. It stays upright even with water.
