A great nose, but the mouth is too wise. Pity. This whisky loses its structure and consistency quite quickly.

(tasted at the opening of the bottle)
    • Nose
Nose on vanilla peat, herbaceous dry smoke. Vanilla fruits develop. A lot of things happen and follow each other after: fruity, marine, smoked.
    • Taste
Mouth a little soft and erased. Hard to go get something. A little smoke, a little fruit, vanilla.
    • Finish
Finale on pepper and dry smoke.

    • Nose

Once with phenols, salt, iodine, charred embers with peat come through strong and open with ripe figs.
    • Taste
      90 90
a pinch of salt, waxy mouthfeel. Beautiful sweet, smoky and dry. Salted peanuts, brittle.
    • Finish
      89 89
Long finish with peat and cool smoke, the sweet and salty notes reappear with orange.

I think you have bottled a great barrel here. The flavors are well interwoven and the Islay character is pleasing but clear ... great!
    • Nose
First, there's campfire smoke and glowing ashes, then sweetness, oranges and figs make their way. Salt and iodine waft in the background and a touch of vanilla is there.
    • Taste
The smoke spreads pleasantly in the mouth. Salty flavors are followed by a strong sweetness followed by salted and roasted peanuts. What flavor changes ... great.
    • Finish
Long finish. There is peat and cool smoke, the sweet and the salty notes emerge again and the oranges are again noticeable.

    Good drinkable but not outstanding.
    • Nose
slightly stinging smoky note, behind it a hint of ripe peaches and vanilla, a violet note (broom?) pushes after a short time in the foreground.
    • Taste
Ripe fruit, vanilla and a touch of salty liquorice, the smoke is present but less piercing than the nose suggests.
    • Finish
      medium and dry
