Lovely, strong, dirty, sherried Tamdhu. Not very difficult or complex, but so darn tasty. Awesome.
    • Nose
      91 91
Strong, oily, fat, butterscotch sherry, caramel, some earth tones
    • Taste
      90 90
Strong, deep sherry, butter, butterscotch, caramel, ripe dark, red fruit. Swims well!
    • Finish
      89 89
Medium long, not bitter, not drying. The tsunami of sherry butterscotch fades in the distance behind you. What a pleasure to swooped away by this.

  2. Dre73 scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

This one needed some time, started a little disappointing, but after some time it became a really strong, tastful and pleasant whisky.
    • Nose
      85 85
At first a bit sour smell, overripe fruit. Strong alcohol. Later on it's getting much better, especially oranges, some chocolate, caramel, a bit coffee.
    • Taste
      88 88
Strong, full-bodied, tingering, chocolate, caramel, honey and vanilla. The chocolate dominates.
    • Finish
      87 87
Still strong, a little pepper, chocolate, long finish. Caramel as well, cappuccino. And later on lot's of tobacco.

Besides the Ultimate cask strength Longmorn's, the Tamdhu's certainly belong to my favorite. The smell, the taste and the recognisability of ingredients, that I leave to each his own judgment. After all, it is a different experience for each of us. Cheers!

Because of his young age and the high ABV he is quite spicy and the finish is still immature. I am curious about a somewhat older bottling.
    • Nose
Creamy nose. Butter. Citrus. Orange and lemon.
    • Taste
Full creamy taste. Show clear citrus like orange. Sharply due to the high ABV. Little water there. That just takes the sharp edges off. He remains botterik, cream babblers.
    • Finish
      Short finish. Very nice creamy.
