A very exotic whisky, a bit too much exoticism. This is almost no more whisky, but a multi-vitamin fruit brand on a high level. With a little patience, however, there are other flavors in the nose. You have to like something like that. A very experimental whisky, outrageously sweet. Quite unlike the other whiskys in the series, where vinous notes and red fruits dominate.
    • Nose
Interesting odor, orange peel, lemon zest, sugared lime, something sour, reminiscent of lemon zest, sweet and sour, very exotic, passion fruit, a light alcoholic stinging, in the background oak, later a clear marzipan note
    • Taste
Cool onset, then very sweet, multivitamin, tri top tangerine, chocolate and some oak
    • Finish
very artificial, slightly bitterness and again acid, herbs, menthol and woodruff, a bit short

A real experience! Has something of the old Bowmore's. Tastes of violets and Bazzoka :-) Well done Jim!

Bruichladdich High Noon Feis Ile 2015, 48.7% ABV https://www.whiskybase.com/wh.../68557/bruichladdich-high-noon First impression / color / viscosity: Copper and minimally oily, the whisky trickles down the glass wall. Aroma / Nose feeling: Oha! That's a little unexpected. Dark, solid and with very strong vanilla and fruit flavors (little dark fruits or berries) the scotch presents itself to me. From the milk chocolate of the 04.1 was "here" but rather dark chocolate with chili. Especially the latter is something noticeable in the nose. Dirty leather or a musty, old cellar smell join it. Interesting (something reminds me of an Aussie I had recently in the glass)! Whether this can be reflected in the taste? Taste / mouthfeel: The first impression in the mouth - Oh, is the lax! However, after a few moments, a note comes through, which would probably equate some with the taste of chili. The opposite is a nice sweetness and creaminess. The fruits are almost too much in the background. The taste shows a slight mustiness. Finish / aftertaste / Length: The finish is medium to long and does not really show something new. Sweet notes of wood combine with exotic fruits and vanilla. Comment: I'm not quite sure. Not bad, but not a big hit. "Of course," he tastes good, but I had probably expected too much. Laddie fans / connoisseurs were probably right (?) Disappointed ... I rate this whisky now not according to my expectations or the previous malts but just how he tastes me and how he tastes me compared to other (international) whiskys. This gives me: Points: 89/100

Many aromas, but overall they are too intense. Clearly too much. Very present alcohol and a real heat in this whisky. I'm a Black Art fan, but this is too much in my eyes.
    • Nose
Strong alcohol notes, then raisins, sherry, sweet wine, some tobacco and leather, heavy, oily, herbs and a minty freshness (citrus during the tasting and no mint whisky)
    • Taste
strong on the palate, lots of alcohol, really hot, dried fruit, raisins, figs, bitter and slightly sourish, slightly oily, some oak, in the end mushroom notes that lead into the finish, the pepper and / or the heat accompany all the aromas all the time
    • Finish
still hot and warm, lots of tannins and bitter, but no real oak anymore
