Glendalough Dublin In Rare Ould Times, is a 10 Year Old Irish Single Malt produced for the Glendalough Distillery in Wiklow. This is the first of a set of rare Irish Whiskys by Pete St John in colaboration with the Glendalough Distillery. Pete St John is a famous Irish folk singer-songwriter, best known for "The feilds of Athenry" and "The Rare Ould Times" to which this bottle of whisky is named after.
The nose of the Glendalough Dublin In Rare Ould Times 10 Year Old Single Malt, is that of soft dry fruit aromas such as sultanas, raisins and figs. The palate has a creamy texture with some soft spice and some tropical fruit flavours. There are also some flavours of orange peel and vanilla. The finish is long and spicy with some bourbon like flavours.
