Whisky Reviews for Glenfiddich 1995

- Birthday dram after having this bottled ourselves at Spirit of Speyside 2015. Not a real sherry fan but this is very much to our liking. This will win a lot over the normal glenfiddich versions and with the high ABV and the fact that it's a single cask well worth the price. At least at the moment of writing this...
Overripe strawberries very nice! Spices, apples and oranges, raisins and a very faint barley smell. Some ahorn syrup and some chocolate. Not overly complex if you ask me, enjoyable and all works well together. With water caramel and fudge will appear.
Creamy fruits, raisins, oranges and spices. The apples are clearly present. As always quite some oak and pepper, high on tannins very drying mouth feel. With water a bit more of a rounded taste but the oak will remain, oranges appear a lot and it becomes very sweet.
Oranges, creamy and a drying mouth for a short time after that your mouth starts watering. Oranges and sweet, a little bit of cinnamon and maybe nutmeg. It's not a complex finish but will stay around for quite some time.
