Whisky Reviews for Ledaig 2000 GM
4 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 86.85 points
- Nose: Prosciutto, Serrano, smoked bacon. Its a nice smoked ham! very savory, some cured Gouda cheese.
Vegetal peat, but very mild. Some burnt paper.
Sweet wine and some eathy or nutty notes from the sherry I guess.
Even some mint. Some sweet winegummy fruits.
Taste: Sweet and Salt. Later some peppery spices. Mouthfeel starts watery with sweet fruits, but gets fuller and gets smokier.
Finish: ashy peat. Salt and pepper.
Great pairing with some cured cheese!
- Very tasty Ledaig middle-aged. In addition to the smoke and peat, sweetness comes from the sherry hogshead. With water, the whisky sets in smell and taste again significantly. Altogether absolutely recommendable!
