N: A wide yet understated nose. I guess that means modest but far reaching. Its a huge waxy, rubbery and vibrant malt with Pink<green peppercorns and sweet cereal bars standing out.
T: Full and welcoming blanket arrival, coating the palate for a warm chew and ‘dad noises’ [its been a while]. Develops with an increasing bitter-sweet edginess - with some cheek blowing to cool down the chilli spice. The SMWS have this down as part of their ‘Light & delicate’ series but id say its one for curry fans, and nothing wrong with that.
F: After such a large profile theres still some cheek blowing as the spice cools. Hay/malt concludes desirably.
C: Not perfect but what a treat. Score, hmm: B or B+? Its a dram that makes me feel generous.
