  1. PaulDvorak scored this whisky 82 points Expert Junior

Open, bold, with the aroma of wood chips, vanilla, melon and chalk, the taste is slightly bitter, with acidity, with the nuances of a burnt tree, malt and lemons, the finish is long, sharp, with a rich bitterness and nuances of burning.
Molt about the finish, the rest was very faded and boring, I don’t understand where such high marks and enthusiasm come from.

    nose

Smoky, very organic smoke (grilled vegetables: zucchini and melanzanis), in addition to a nice canned peach, subtle citrus notes and something farm-like, cereal.

    Taste / disposal

First canned peach and cereals, then cucumber water that keeps until the finish. The smoke is very organic, as in the nose. The oak is very discreet. Everything together very well. The finish is medium long.

    Overall a good straight smoker!

Aroma: smoke from the fire (not very intense) refined oil, vanilla and fruit parts: lemon peel, drank apples and sweet melon, oak, sea breeze. The fruit part is intertwined with light smoke, nice.
Taste: peat, smoke, pleasant sweetness with bitterness, a hint of chalk
Aftertaste: smoky, fresh, stewed heads, oak, a hint of prunes, rather long, but very delicate
    Rating: 84
Bottom line: great work! For molt 4-6 years of aging, I did not find oloroso here, maybe it gave me the melon in flavor, it looks like a classic bourbon extract. The producer with this hammer probably wanted to get closer to the classic 10k and 12k Ailas, well, they succeeded and he is better than Bowome Legends, and Lafroyg Select is for sure. In style it resembles Kul Ilu and Bouumo with their light peat and a slope in fruit.
