    Blind mystery tasting.

Wide batch blend, no particular character. Ok. Redeeming feature is high abv, though water does not reveal much.
    • Nose
    • Taste
Everything must have been canceled each other out. There is no discernable flavors of note .
    • Finish
An empty room, dusty and dry.

This must be the first Springbank that gives me the least pleasure in the nose! Young spirit, but very drinkable. Nicely done. I like the finish best. Sample from Tom @hetwhiskyforum
    • Nose
Young, dirty earth, fresh, pear, some vanilla, some banana, some coconut
    • Taste
Sweet, vanilla, oily, honey, some yellow fruits, great mouthfeel
    • Finish
Medium long, not bitter. The oily honey covers tongue and fades rather slowly leaving traces of yellow fruit.

Vegetable and vanilla, a combination not so common, but that works rather. A little caramel. Unfortunately, alcohol predominates. On the palate, light and supple - it is a blend, with the aromas pre-cited but also the problem of alcohol that persists.

    Enthusiasm 2/5

Nose: Springbank-y, slightly alcoholic, Some fruit notes. Salty-earth notes. Peaches. With water some mint comes in.

Taste: Indeed it tastes like a diluted springbank 10yo. Marzipan, fruitiness of pear, hint of peat. With water there are some meat an bbq notes in there.

    Body: Creamy

Finish: short-medium. Some oak, again the classic Springbank-yness. And a faint hint of peat. With water: more peat.

    Price: Quite good price-quality

Presentation: Don't know this was a sample.

A whiskey about 5 years old, especially fun for the symbol.
    • Nose
made very young, a little alcoholic, with notes of fruit alcohol (apple, pear), and a touch of mineral.
    • Taste
Slightly creamy, but still young: almond, cinnamon, always this mineral side. A little more greed than in nose with notes of cooked apple, tatin, and a very slight smoke (coal).
    • Finish
A little dry, on the stone, ash.
      Pretty good length.

  9. Hare&Copper scored this whisky 78 points Expert Senior

    Blind tasting
    • Nose
Apple juice. Vanilla. Lemon curd. Eskimo lollies. Lemon Pledge.
    • Taste
Apples and pears. Orangade. Honey. Buttery. New spirit.
    • Finish
      Medium long. Light fruit.

  10. KayMeertens scored this whisky 84 points Connoisseur

    A nice blend, but not a must-have.
    • Nose
An earthy peatiness with toffee, Islay rather than Campbeltown style. Pear, minerals, orange and fish bait. With water more Campbeltown style, with peach.
    • Taste
Peat, pear, peach, caramel and banana. Then a dirty twist.
    • Finish
      Peat, caramel, banana peach.
