T: Light at first but becoming rapidly assured on delivery, evolving into a soft but full bodied textural delight that fully coats the tongue. As for the taste, its fresher than expected but soft once again, developing on a light oily, apricot jam with a grassy and a bitter, resinous, sawn-wood note. Theres a marked sour lull here as it takes a few breaths and collects itself up for the final wave.
F: Theres a fresher momentum into the finish with heathery-herbal, apple pastries, vanilla candles and baby figs but unfortunately this all leads to my nemesis - metallic, vegetable-oily crisps, drats!
C: This is my first Banff, so im off to a good start with a fine nose and textural palate but the rest unfortunately concludes with results lower than expectation.
