Blind tasting of a sample, but it wasn't hard to identify this one as a young Aultmore. I've tasted a few of these now and they have a really typical profile.
    • Nose
Apple syrup, toffee, plum jam, raisin, butterscotch, peppermint and a good dose of spice. More fudgy when adding water.
    • Taste
Toffee, candied cherry, 'stroopwafels' and pepper.
    • Finish
Cherry, toffee, apple syrup and raisin.

I tastes a sample. I have a full bottle from Whisky Broker. A special release for the Danish market. I suspect the content is identical since it is also an Aultmore and with identical cask nr- The number of bottles allso suggest that the cask have been split between different bottlers. Points 84-85. Not bad for it's age.
    • Nose
Some caramel. Light fruits like pears, perhaps apple and some banana. Not so much dried fruit as one would expect. Spices and the wood is very noticable for the age.
    • Taste
      Sweet Honey, brown sugar and fudge. Fruits. Again more light fruits. But some raisiny notes kicks in. Baking spice in the background, but no Christmas cake blast. Even though it is doing great for its age, it can't hide that it is young whisky. It does have some rough edges. Let's use marketing language and describe the rough edges as the whisky being vibrant(-;
    • Finish
Medium. Some rather pleasant bittenes gives association to coffee and/or chocolate.

Sustain ye me with raisin-cakes, Refresh me with apples; For I am sick of love.
    • Nose
Fudge - Zeeuwse botterbabelaar, butter, apple, vegetation and milk. Coffee, glue, citrus and spices - cinnamon, pepper and cloves.
    • Taste
Full with alchohol, grains, syrup, honey and spices. Praline chocolate and coffee. With water more chocolate and fruits.
    • Finish
Fruity, orange, spices - curry, some liquorice, mushrooms and butterscotch.

That it would be a drum of PX that it would not surprise me. The result is sherry fat, sweet, heady and sticking to the teeth. A whisky for gourmands who like very sweet sweets ... or who love molasses rums. It is clearly more to my taste with a few drops of water. 84/100 without water, 86/100 with water.
    • Nose
Hazelnut, candied strawberry and liquid caramel hold the upper hand. Alcohol is noticeable, but I was expecting worse. Brown sugar, gingerbread, and white chocolate praline grow on time. A very sweet, syrupy, melassed, and ... nauseating nose. With water : The nose is softer and more seductive. The red and dry fruits are more present.
    • Taste
The alcohol is there, yes, but does not tear the mouth. It is very well integrated for such a rate. Tagada strawberry, liquid brown sugar, sweet spices, watermelon, milk chocolate. A mouth very greedy. With water : The sweet / molasses / almost cold side is always dominant, but less disgusting. A slight nutty woodiness appears.
    • Finish
Long. The heat of alcohol is more present. It pecks a little anyway! And this heat stays a long time before decreasing and giving way to nutshell with nutmeg. With water : Alcohol is less present (logic ^^), and a slight woody drought appears.
