reminds me of young Macallan Speymalts by GM, i recognized a similar herbal note at some bottlings of Glenfarclas. Beautiful, substantial sherried malt, especially at the pricetag of 30-35€, I like that edgy appearence and the menthol, doesn't seem that "over-batched" like other 12 yo "standards". I think they used european casks only...
    • Nose
present sweet and fruity sherry, herbs, menthol(!), dry european oak, pleasent, harmonic, wide range of aromas, dark caramel, light vanilla, cognac, despite 12 years of age still strong spirit, makes the nose even more interesting, a wee bit alcoholic, touch of honey, whiffs of old balsamic vinegar
    • Taste
sherry-sweet arrival, fruity at the beginning, dries very quickly, even peppery, vanilla is thers, european oak gets stronger and stronger, winy mouthfeel
    • Finish
long, spices, quite dry, oak, a bit of that sherry, few herbs, almonds an honey

Reminds me in the nose of the Macallan Speymalts of GM, a similar herbal note I know of Glenfarclas. A really beautiful, substantial sherry malt, especially taking into account the price of 30-35 €, the corners and edges like me, especially the clear menthol note, does not look as "smooth-banged" as other "standard" 12er, seems to me throughout in Europe. Sherry casks to be matured
    • Nose
clear, fruity-sweet sherry, herbs, menthol (!), dry European oak, pleasant, harmonious, a beautiful fullness of aromas, dark caramel, light vanilla, cognac, the Brennereicharakter is relatively clear despite the 12 years, light alcohol, subtle some honey sweetness , old balsamic
    • Taste
Sweet sherry onset, initially fruity, then more dry, even peppery, vanilla is there, European oak is getting stronger, the mouthfeel is vinous
    • Finish
long, spicy, fairly dry, oak, some sherry, some herbs, almonds and honey
