it has the orange notes often associated with quality, but lots of annoying bitterness and rough alcohol too, a tad flat also
    • Nose
cream, floral, lemongrass, butter, citrus, light fruits
    • Taste
sweet, pears, citrus peel bitter, light butter, pineapple, waxy grains
    • Finish
medium, butter, cream, sour fruits, citrus peel, grass and nuts at the back followed by nutty cream and waxy citrus

A very nice and unexpected Single Malt from an, for me, unknown distillery. He has a beautiful layering and very good balance in the aromas. This makes him much more complex than he might at first sight suggest. An absolute must!
    • Nose
A surprising, fruity, sweet and complex whisky with notes of honey, powdered sugar, pear, apple, raspberry, blackberries, gooseberries, grapefruit, hedge leaves, grass, elderflower, soft earthy notes, caramel, hay, a hint of coconut and very subtle oak.
    • Taste
A sweet, fruity, complex and well balanced whisky with notes of honey, banana, pineapple, pear candies, red apple, lemon peel, kumquat, fennel seeds, English licorice, hint of coconut, soft bitter tannin, subtle oak, cinnamon, vanilla, bay leaves, toffee and floral notes
    • Finish
A long sweet and slightly sour (pleasant) aftertaste with notes of fennel, hint of laurel, pineapple, honey and apple blossom

This is a decent whisky from a distillery in the heart of Speyside with a pleasant note, not too complicated but nice to drink. The alcohol is well integrated and supports the taste without being too much in the foreground. Without sherry and peat, it is rather light and certainly an every-day dram.
    • Nose
pleasant, light, fragrant note of rose water, followed by a fruity sweetness with tropical fruits (pineapple, bananas) and licorice, with spices hiding in the background
    • Taste
dry, clear note of sweet licorice, slightly fruity with sour apples and firm pears, afterwards comes a lot of spice and some malt
    • Finish
medium, also here the licorice is preserved, the seasoning and the fruitiness of the pears

Recipe: 15-20 years, Speyside, Bourbon keg, and here again a delicious whisky comes out, tasty, fair prizes (47 €), the bitternoten and the pepper give the special kick ,
    • Nose
intense fruity-sweet, banana, pineapple, pear compote, very pleasant, I could sniff forever
    • Taste
Jelly banana, orange marmalade, dark chocolate, pinch of pepper and a hint of licorice
    • Finish
      medium long, cocoa, neat pepper

not so round, but OK but absolutely worth the price
    • Nose
Orange, cotton candy, ripe kiwi, green apple, freshly mown grass
    • Taste
some oak, sweet, vanilla, orange, bitter, spicy alcohol
    • Finish
