Perfume, fresh, intense honey and citrusy, whiff of sharpness but
packed with a lot of charming fruits and sweet bubble gum candy.
Leather undertone with drips of water.
P- Consistent from the
nose, honey and citrus greets you with lightness, crisp apple,
grapefruits and burnt orange peels. Water does enhance the texture, got
creamier and milky chocolate.
F- Medium long, fresh and light. Smooth follow by spicy coating and touch of bitter orange.

- there are hints of salt and the oily nose and taste I expected from Scapa. some spices a Little bit grassy. but still, there was also too much sweetness, to much perfume.
- Here, seafood meets good maturity. An excellent Firstfill Ex-Bourbon barrel. For me an absolute dream
William Christ pear, juicy and ripe, lying in a basket of lemon balm. I doze on the beach and enjoy the salty sea breeze mixed with a Werther's Real Sweet. So I want to linger forever and put my nose into this bouquet again and again. If he stands awhile, creamy banana, vanilla ice cream and cream are added.
Oily, the whisky slides over the tongue, immediately there is this harsh honey sweetness, some white pepper tickles the buds of the tip of the tongue, a little orange and vineyard peach joins the pear. At the very back the salty oak knocks and the saliva thins the whisky
The fruit remains warm and honey-sweet for a while, until the spring-fresh young oak buds claim their right to dry themselves on the taste buds.
- The Scapa 2001 / 2015 was distilled at a time when the distillery was run by the staff from Highland Park, albeit only a few weeks per year.
