T: A potent mix of bitter/sweet malty/oaked sherry, the body becoming waxy and oily before sweetening a tad going into a fresher, chilli pepper finish. Theres lots more age than 10 years and the development has an admirable shape, but theres a bitter confusion in the middle leading to a muddled unpleasantness here on out.
F: The waxy body endures with a mildly herbal, bitter>sweet finish. Caramel is minimal. The bitter confusion resides with signs of cheap spirit entering the fold.
C: Lots to admire, not least the age but equally theres something not quite right. A good dram but one thats not in the running in a race against its peers - Glendronach 15 revival WB for instance.
