Part of a line up with 8 different bourbon’s. From basic level to a little more advanced. This one is fourth in my line up. One I have had in my hands or digital shopping cart several times now, but somehow it always ends up not buying it. Dunno why but now I can give it a try!
    • Nose
Quite creamy, buttery and fudgy. Pleasant nose. There is quite some age inhere.
    • Taste
Gentle, soft and sweet. Loads of vanilla ice cream and floral honey. The flavors might not be surprising but the way this acts on the palate is. It is very well matured.
    • Finish
The finish is a bit short unfortunately. In the finish more spices join in as well as oak polish.

Left a very strong first impression.
Very woody, but in a pleasant way.
This is my first bourbon which is not anemic or "just sweet." Medium complexity (mainly woody, dark cherry, and vanilla, to me)
    Definitely not boring.

Sweetish, nutty, round, pineapple, forest honey

    taste
    Spicy, sweet, herbs

    finish
Medium length, sweet, nutty, spicy wood

A strange bourbon. From my point of view, the nose and the palate are dominated by a note that is reminiscent of furniture polish. Only with the best will I can win this whiskey flavors. Blindfolded, I suspect that they're holding a bottle of furniture or car polish under my nose. Even on the palate remains a similar nachwirkender taste. Not my bourbon - 03.01.2019
    • Nose
Furniture polish, some caramel, vanilla, sand cake
    • Taste
Oily and sweet, the polish note is also very dominant here, slightly caramel and slightly nutty, cucumber, earthy notes and some oak, to the end bitterness of a fresh walnut
    • Finish
      Short

Luckily it was my first bourbon, because I like it right away. Had my doubts but I'm glad I bought it. Price performance the hammer.
    • Nose
Vanilla, slight cinnamon note, sour and yet sweet, A-oak, clear bourbon note, nutty and almost complex, with this age surprising notes.
    • Taste
Now, briefly the bourbon effect that I don't like, but then clear sweetness, also sour with spiciness, thought: polish the car, it remains a delicate herbal note. OK.
    • Finish
Medium-long, round finish, some oak and therefore also spicy, sweet and sour at the same time, noticeable herbs in the finish. Slightly nutty and warming.

    Very pleasant bourbon, full flavor.
    • Nose
vanilla, sweet, honey, alcohol fairly prominent. Apple, raisins, corn
    • Taste
Sweet, vanilla honey, wood tones. Soft and full, corn again. creamy mouthfeel.
    • Finish
Soft, sweet, vanilla, reasonably long, wood tones. White chocolate too, and pistachio.

  11. Jean Ginster scored this whisky 86 points Expert Senior

Never was a Bourbon fan, but this one tastes really good and is interesting.
    • Nose
sweet and sour, oak, furniture polish, vanilla, some cinnamon, a little walnut, quite complex
    • Taste
sweet, then a slightly sour oak spice, roasted walnut with some furniture polish, then a delicate herbal note
    • Finish
short to medium-long round finish, it remains a very slight oak, slightly sweet, slightly sour, with the herbal notes. From the throat comes as aftertaste a nutty sweetness

  12. Defeatless scored this whisky 86 points Expert Senior

    Nose:
Sweet vanilla, bbq coal. woodshavings. Pencil dust. There is some odd smelling candy in here, but I like it. In the background there are quite some spices like garam masala, cinnamon, cardamom and clove.

    Taste:
A little alcohol burn. But then it gets really sweet and bourbon smooth. There are quite some dark herbs in here.

    Body:
a little weak. There might be some chill-filtration being done.

    Finish:
Medium-long length. Quite dark brown sugar. liquorish like finish. Then there is a tad bitterness and it all goes down with a wood/bourbonvanilla/icecream taste.

    Price:
Yet another very reasonable priced bourbon.

    Presentation:
I like it, not too much, not too little

  13. Noface83 scored this whisky 84 points Specialist

Nose: vanilla, spicy honey, rum raisins, a lot of oak, dates, a touch of chocolate, some sour apples and wild honey, the alcohol is easily noticeable Taste: strong onset, lots of vanilla, typical Bourbon sweetness with a slight touch of glue, hearty oak (pepper and herbs). In the medium-long finish notes of grain, intense sweetness, strong oak (fresh geschnittebes wood) and a bitterness as one would chew on tea leaves, light alcohol sharpness
Very intense bourbon with bite and character. One of my favorites in the price range.

Very compelx concerning the nose. A bit sharp on the palate.

    Concerning price/performance ratio: 9/10
    • Nose
Vanilla, dark chocolate, sweet rum notes, orange scale, hints of sherry, wild honey, dried dates and plums, hints of gingerbread and coconut oil.
    • Taste
Vanilla bourbon creme, some herbs, some spices and sharpness to the palate.
    • Finish
Short to medium. Herbs and hints of wood and salt lingering around for half a minute.

  17. mds51 scored this whisky 81 points Connoisseur

But quite snappy, but still pleasant to drink.
    • Nose
Glue, wood, furniture polish, apple, cinnamon, rum, vanilla flavor (like baking), forest honey,
    • Taste
Vanilla, sweetie, glue? (as I think he would taste), herbs (sage, thyme), oak flavor
    • Finish
The oak flavor remains and mixes with the gluey sweet note.
