  1. Jackson05 scored this whisky 84 points Expert Senior

Very funky, but the Chardonnay doesn’t really mesh. A lot of gravel, minerals, chlorine, wool, some sort of weird tropical fruits that you wouldn’t eat, barnyard or farmy Peat longrow is known for. Fresh, but dirty at the same time. I prefer longrow society Sauternes 9 year or even the official longrow 14.

Sweet, smoked dried fruits, hot black tea. But not for children.

Prune. Compote of prunes and other dried fruits.
    • Taste
      86 86
The taste is sweet plum jam that has stood in a jar for a long time, and a little candied. Strong black tea with thyme.
    • Finish
      85 85
The aftertaste is sweet and gives off a hint of buckwheat during roasting.

  9. Calmar scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

A powerful and rich mole, a vigorous batch of raisins and peat, young, but very dense and bright, of flaws - an excess of bitterness in taste and a clamped flavor, which in time is still slightly opened.
    • Nose
Restrained, light smoke-peat hues, grain, furniture varnish, spicy wood, fruit pipe tobacco, raisins.
      .
    • Taste
Dense, rich, oak, peat, a lot of sweet raisins, ash, coal, bitter cortex, lollipop colors.
    • Finish
Spicy, warming, strong raisin notes, peat and charcoal gently frame them, a bit of tart oak, grassy bitterness.

  10. Shane_IL scored this whisky 87 points Expert Senior

    • Nose
Chalk. Leather. Ash. Butterscotch. Wine tannins. Intense horseradish/wasabi type spice. Orange cake. Some medicinal and seaside notes crop up after a while. Some herbal honey.
    • Taste
Wow, quite different from the nose. Muddy, vegetal peat. Big dry white wine notes here. Dry stone fruits. Candied citrus. Caramel pudding.
    • Finish
Long. Slightly lemony. Muted but present peat. Warm wine. Hints of horseradish/wasabi. Tobacco.
