    • Nose
Mellow, sweet, fruity and simple. Notes of vanilla, apples, pears, honey⁣
    • Taste
Watery, thin mouthfeel. Not as sweet or fruity on the palate as I thought it was going to be from my initial nosing. Immediately get a youthful alcohol taste (almost vodka like) which transitions to a woody taste. Some notes of vanilla, caramel, and a touch of spice. Not impressive on the palate and definitely not popping with any flavor.⁣
    • Finish
Relatively short, dry finish with some wood notes, spice, and maybe a touch smoke. Fades to that young alcohol taste.⁣

  4. Albaron scored this whisky 82 points Specialist

You hardly notice the blend. Very tasty, a strong body with sherry notes. Very nice
    • Nose
Toffee, barley malt, a bit oily, a touch of solvent, slightly sour
    • Taste
Malty, a light sherry note, toffee, barley sugar, slightly sour here too, some black tea, a hint of dried fruit, raisin mainly, caramel, slightly burnt
    • Finish
The dried fruit and the toffee remains, but not for long, at the very end a tiny touch of draft

The overwhelmed no. Convinced but compared to the 12er, which I like too.
    • Nose
      Sweet sherry, damp wood.
    • Taste
Similar in taste, maybe an idea spicier. Or more oak instead of sherry. You can tell the maturity and the age. Tart, woody, fine.
    • Finish
The finish is not very long, but aromatic and warm.

The nose is pretty much non existent but the palate is ok  some nice honey notes but some bitterness also.

Much better whisky about whether a blend or single malt for £50.

  8. Macheye did not rate this whisky Expert Senior

A solid, easy-drinking and generally balanced blended Scotch – in fact, a good benchmark for others to aim at. Coming in at around £50 this represents good value for money vs. quality in the bottle. I’d love to see the list of 85 unique flavours that are apparently in this bottle – It just isn’t that complicated a proposition as far as I’m concerned. I’ll stake my claim to discerning 16 flavours here across the whole experience – proof once again that tasting notes written by marketing bods are generally just hilariously awful.

Nose:- Soft bouquet of citrus, sweet cherries. Light cedar box. Grainy.

Palate:- Light and pleasant mouthfeel, hints of wood with traces of chocolate.

Finish:- Smooth, long and echoing. Well balance with spicy note and right touch of bitterness. A good blend.

  10. KayMeertens scored this whisky 78 points Connoisseur

A decent blend, but for 50 euros I can recommend much better whiskies. Also blends.
    • Nose
Apple, smoke, caramel, vanilla and a little banana.
    • Taste
Peat smoke, caramel, vanilla, apple and strawberry.
    • Finish
Apple, peat, caramel, vanilla and banana.
