I have no idea (well, maybe I do) what the influence of the wine cask
has been, but this is an impressive release. Just under 100 EUR. Fine
    digestive. Recommended!
    • Nose
The nose is grand and very fruity. Complex as well. Agrums play around
with cherries, raisins, baked apples, stewed pears with a hint of pineapple and
green banana. There is also a drop of balsamico and sniffing tobacco, which
makes me think the malt matured on a sherry cask at first. Nice trace of
      woodsmoke. What a pleasant surprice!
    • Taste
It is silky soft on the palate. It starts off with something sour. Think
agrums. A touch of candy. Wine gums. But then the fruit
kicks in with a vengeance, albeit of the dried variety (the fruit, not the
vengeance – what am I saying?). So it turns sweet again. Caramel, maybe even
some candied sugar. It also offers a nice salty edge. This is quite
      impressive.
    • Finish
The finish is fairly long and spicy. It remains sweet until the death.

    • Nose
      91 91
Balanced, harmonious blend of fruits and malt, and mild (not aggressive despite its 46%)
    • Taste
      93 93
Malt more present, I like the bouquet that develops and the slightly sweet side that comes out.
Very good balance, it is both a whisky tasting and pleasure (not at all disgusting).
    • Finish
      92 92
The finish is sweet, lingering on the palate and highlights the characteristics of the thatch quarter; a bit vinous and sweet on dry white grapes.

A really nice dram .... very sweet.
    • Nose
A very fruity nose on fruits and raisins. Surely Sherry was partly.
    • Taste
First light then power increases with a mixture of fruits and spices, this is rather balanced.
    • Finish
An average length on dried fruits and milk chocolate .... very sweet and very pleasant.

What freshness, what richness, what diversity! Fresh fruit, malt, frangipane! On the palate, it is found, in a very melted way, with spices, it could be taken easily for a 25 years of age or more. At 46% he passes alone. If it had been bottled up a few degrees higher, we touched the nirvana! With a few drops of water, it is even more balanced.

    Enthusiasm 4/5
