    Conclusion and pictures on: https://tomtrinkt.de
    • Nose
Typical port taverns pour out of the glass immediately after pouring and umscheicheln Nase tip. Very sweet, red fruits, malt, caramel and hints of spicy oak are my first impressions. Plenty of cherries, raspberries, plums and blueberries adorn a full basket of fruit. This is followed by strong caramel sweets, vanilla, oranges and delicate oak notes. The alcohol content of 46% is very well integrated.
    • Taste
Silky soft, the malt wets the entire mouth. At the same time, the sweet, red fruits unfold with such a high (and fresh) intensity, which I would not have expected due to the rather slight nose in the form. The taste is dominated by cherries, ripe plums and a handful of raisins. Crème brûlée, caramel and toasted malt join in a timely manner. Somewhat hesitantly, but then noticeably noticeable, the spicy oak notes are gaining momentum. A pleasant bitterness already awakens on the palate and contrasts very well with the sweet and fruity onset.
    • Finish
Long, sweet and pleasantly warm. The dark fruits sparkle with a nice residual sweetness, before it gets spicier in the end. Various spices and plenty of oak indicate with bitter chocolate notes and walnuts that the malt was allowed to ripen for 17 years. The balanced contrast of sweet fruit notes and spicy aromas is very well done.

Nose: summer is here in the glass! Immature plums, wild fruits and lemon. Add some wet wood, malt and vanilla.
Taste: sweet and malty. Now ripe plums and raisins. Summery fresh and getting sweeter in the finish. Pfanner-Eistee forest fruits and subtly spicy oak which sets the sweetness a nice bitterness. The finish is long and very pleasant.
Conclusion: a really delicious malt then flourishes in the mouth and a smile on the mouth conjures. But why must he be so dear dear guys from Glencadam?

he needs time - otherwise he is harsh and spicy - with patience he is much fruity
    • Nose
      88 88
Date, orange, lemon with peel, sage, lavender, mint, slightly pleasant musty after damp old wood - leather, orange oil
    • Taste
      87 87
sweet and spicy, plum jam, tobacco leaves, cinnamon and gingerbread spice, fine-sour sage, cut flowers, espresso, ground leather - a nonspecific, soapy base note
    • Finish
      86 86
warm, slightly bitter, roasted nuts, bay leaf

Very tasty malt. Can you drink well? However, it does not necessarily have to be a big bottle on the shelf.
    • Nose
Strawberry jam. Rice pudding with cherries. Snot grits, which is not too sweet. In addition, citrus. Lemon cake and orange scrub. Also fresh branches.
    • Taste
Pretty cute. Sugared fruit tea. Toffee. Berries cereal. Somewhat vain notes come through. Then the red fruits become more sour. Haribo Pasta Frutta.
    • Finish
Blood orange. Pomegranate. Subtle oak spice.

since it is a port finished, it only got the nice rose color of port but sadly not the beauty of it’s taste, too boring still

There’s quite a lot going on with this Glencadam. The nose is rather different to the taste - the former favouring spirit-driven red fruits, the latter showing a lot more cask influenced character. I found that a drop of water provided a touch more balance across the palate. Nevertheless, tasty stuff which is worth trying if you can.

    • Nose
The slightly pink hue of the dram comes across in the nose – strawberries, red berries and some tart rhubarb. There’s some real spirit character here – it’s lively, herbal and slightly steely. Cask influence is already present with gentle peppery spicing.
    • Taste
Lively sweet and spicy. Red fruits continue and provide satisfying sweetness - these are bolstered by deeper malts and citrus sharpness. Spicy and char really amp up the delivery and development of this whisky with black pepper, nutmeg, toasted oak and light cask-driven smoke. There’s a nice level of floral/herbalness running through her – quite estery.
    • Finish
Medium long, spicy fruits and a final burst of salinity.

yes, he is very tasty and tasty; Nose and finish are beautiful, but the taste drops; not as complex as hoped
    • Nose
very fruity with dominant sweet cherries; the port is there, but rather in the background; sweet, fresh malt is added; there is no trace of alcohol; Over time, it gets sweeter and more berries are added very nice round nose
    • Taste
creamy and sweet; slight bitterness is mixed; again very fish with bright red fruits
    • Finish
medium; again cherries (this time dark cherries) which take the whole palate very nicely; a nice spice comes to the end; At the end, the oak settles again
