Marshmallow meringue and wafer biscuits; blueberry friande; Milo; Turkish delight, and nutmeg. Sweet and complex.
Juicy fruit chewing gum. Then sweet fruits. Then fruit confectionery. Boiled lollies. White chocolate. Fantales. Tea-soaked raisins. There are some contrasting savoury notes such as baked parsnip, and sweet potato.
Soft toffee oozes out over a medium length.
Comments:Anyone who says grain whiskies can be dull on the palate needs to either taste this or be shot. It’s a wonderfully sweet excursion that’s playful, complex, vibrant and a lot of fun to drink. Most aged grains become austere - this one has grown old whilst maintaining its youthfulness. A fantastic grain whisky and a great one to grab if you’ve never tried the category.
