Absolutely no need for water, for Clynelish lovers this is out the top drawer IMHO.

This would get a massive score if the fruit was just a little more expressive but still a perfect example of how good old Clynelish can be and reminds me of 1960`s Glenlochy.
    • Nose
Now that is a nose of substance, lovely, deep stewed fruit notes, its a well stewed left for hours fruit salad punch.

Some furniture polish comes in, fudge, caramel, syrup, and this one smells like an old waxy Clynelish.

Classic old Clynelish profile on the nose, if the palate matches the nose this could be really something as a fan of Clynelish (fingers crossed)

      Finally a little melted butter.
    • Taste
Peach, mango, plum, apple and possibly a hint of banana, thick syrupy and waxy. The fruit is less expressive than I was hoping with a little dry bitterness creeping in.

Icing sugar sweetness appears, light moist sponge cake, hints of orange and lime marmalade.

      Superb with excellent balance.
    • Finish
      Long, remaining sweet,.
