The straw, grass and hay tickled us - the summery impression continued with strawberries and cream and fruity ice lollies. We also found puff candy, spangles, lemon bonbons and sherbet. The palate was sweetly lip-tingling with little sherbety bursts on the tongue, like liquorice sherbet fountains or 'Millions'. The dry finish evoked vintage champagne. With water the nose grew more milky - milk lollies, Milky Way; also foamy bananas and chocolate limes. The palate lost some fizziness, becoming more integrated, like frothy chocolate milk-shake. A refreshing dram with delightful texture. The distillery takes its name from the valley of the River Lossie.
