- On the nose, characteristic smell of sherry, then scents of rum and bourbon!
rum molasses for sure, there must be a lot of grain in it, otherwise, vanilla, caramel, dried fruit dried, a little mold and wood.
- This is a drop, which I wish for the bar in heaven, whereby the magic potion does not overburden the certainly not too richly endowed cash register of Peter at the same time.
First, I want to find out the Fassart: But first comes apple, slightly leathery umflort, then rise bitered apple seeds and a colorful and fresh fruit mix. But back to the barrels used: definitely the finest sherry, but also vanilla from bourbon barrels. But that is really a successful mixture! Very fine barrels!
Syrupy, full-bodied, spicy. What more do you want?
And everything condenses in the finish something, without any share would gain the upper hand. Slightly salty (like with a splash of sea water) and peppery.
Fresh wood, American oak vanilla, wood shavings, graphite, tobacco sour note, glue, engine oil, dark bitter cold Earl Gray tea, lavender, rosemary and citrus.
Again lots of wood, licorice, vanilla, cinnamon, caramel, brown sugar, sandal wood. In the development some nutmeg and very nice tannins.
Nice and long, with a leather note, wood tannins and caramel sweetnes.
Very very nice...
- A really good dram for the price and highly drinkable at the full strength.
Deep notes of sherry, caramel, almonds, cherry liqueur, liquid chocolate, orange zest. Notes of good old cognac.
Very chocolatey, sweet, deep and rich. Orange zest, all kinds of berries. A heavy sherry cask influence, but it worked really well with the character of the spirit.
Quite long, mouthwarming, notes of chocolate and gentle fruitiness appear again. Towards the end, it feels slightly spirity and young, but it's acceptable here.
