- Allt-a-Bhainne 1992-2015, 22 years, 52.5% alc. Cadenhead's Allt-a-Bhainne 1992-2015, 22 years, 52.5% alc.
Bottler: Cadenhead's (Small Batch)
Extension: Bourbon barrel
Region: Speyside, Scotland
Nose: Amazing spicy, some sage and fennel come up, behind apricots and slightly unripe peach. Then there is honey and resinous larch wood, also some caramel is there. The alcohol is not noticeable.
Palate: Strong and very spicy. Here again the fennel, then pinewood and this time ripe peaches. In addition, cloves and fresh vanilla pods.
Finish: Very long, very strong, a lot of oak, a lot of spice. Strongly roasted malt and mascarpone.
Conclusion: Exciting and delicious, I would not dilute this single malt, however.
85/100 points (tasted 2015, approx. 95 €)
Thanks to Cadenhead's Berlin for the rehearsal!

- Cadenhead's official tasting notes:
Nose: Custard creams; hints of fennel and allspice. Creme caramel. Some dusty notes with some strawberries coming through.
Palate: Very creamy with growing ever changing fruit bursts; limes, satsumas, peaches and solid toffee.
Finish: Develops an effervescent fruitiness mingling in a blanket of thick cream.
