Oh wow, Clynelish has always been a favourite and this is no slouch! Coming form the Liquid Art line, these bottles tend to be some hand selected gems!

The nose... What do you need to know. It's fruity and rich, waxy and a touch spirity/modern distillate. The wax slowly creeps in, and it gets thicker. More stone fruit and sweets, beeswax and some warm sandy coastal notes and cotton candy.
    • Taste
      92 92
The palate is spicy and fruit syrupy. Whoa, this is dense, the wax is rushing in and a whetstone. Water just opens this up it becomes farmy and heady with water. The fruit takes off, huge apricot jelly and soft rotten straw. Yellow apple skins and some white tea tannins.
    • Finish
      89 89
The finish is spicy and rich, cinnamon heart candies and golden delicious apple skins. Horse barns and huge oak spice.

Dense; caramel, beeswax and immediately fruity (peach, grapefruit, Greengages, passion fruit, tangerine, sour apples and quince), salty background. Flowery and a little bit of undergrowth.
With water: fresher, more citrus and clearly salty. Even something slightly maritime.

Full, powerful and intense, beautifully sweet and round, quite weighty, again typical exotic-fruity Clynelish (Marajuca), cardamom, caramel. A matching quite discreet ginger sharpness.
With water: loses little in volume. Spicy and a touch perfumed, but then a typical rich fruitiness and a hint of smoke. Ginger, spices and some oak is now there.

Intense, warm, medium length. Spices, exotic fruit (mango, passion fruit), olive oil.
    With water: rounder, more charming.

Very good Clynelish. Swims quite well.
