Whisky Reviews for Arran 2000
8 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 86.52 points
- To be honest I'm not a big Arran fan. I don't think the spirit has a lot of character so most of the times the cask has to do most of the work. This is one of the Arran's I do like. Probably because it's been in a good fresh sherry cask. I taste red apples, cherries, plums and a somewhat bittery aftertaste. It is good...but I'm still not an Arran addict.
Thanks for the sample.

- Bottle picked up @ Whisky in Leiden 2015.
Sweets, fudge, raisins and forest fruits - black currants. Meaty with cloves and pepper.
Very full with spices - pepper and forest fruits. Orange and some oily - fishy notes.
Nuts, fudge, beefy and boullion.
Caramel and orange. Some peanut and pencil shavings. I can't help but also picking up a whiff of sweat. With water and patience eventually some honey.
Toffee, orange, cashew, pepper, almond, raspberry, smoke and a slightly meaty touch.
Toffee, almond, apple, nutmeg and a whiff of smoke.
