- Odor clearly better and fuller than the taste and body.
Sweet and fresh, vanilla very strong, tropical fruits, honey, floral. something spicy too.
Soft sweet, vanilla, light pepper. Aarbei, something of tropical fruit, somewhat flat.
Light peppers, sweet, not very long, some tobacco now also continues after a while.
- Ayrshire 1998-2014, 16 years, 43% alc.
Bottler: Signatory Vintage
Region: Lowlands, Scotland Special feature: Single Grain Whiskey Nose: Slightly alcoholic, but settles very fast. Tropical fruits, melon and mango, grapefruit and lemonade. Behind it cereals and a small trail of black pepper, with time, a little stronger, he alternates with the alcoholic touch. Palate: Slightly sweetish with the fruit notes of the nose, but also added strawberries and menthol, cereals and mint. Behind it follows again a good portion of pepper. Finish: Rather short, light, silky and slightly fruity. In addition a certain bitterness, however without oak. Conclusion: The nose is okay, palate and finish silky and creamy. 80/100 points (tasted 2015, approx. 35 €) Original published on: www.notesofmalt.de
