A good Springbank, but far from being one of the best, in my opinion. Far from being unforgettable. Enthusiasm 3/5 Whisky n ° 1340
    • Nose
Peaty and intense, it is very fruity and vinous (it evokes the yellow wine). Flaked almonds and a hint of sulfur. With a little water, it looks more ashy. Is it a mushroom note ??
    • Taste
On soot, it is very warm. Alcohol is very well integrated. Juicy heart. With water, it is more supple, but less intense (Thank you Mister Obvious)
    • Finish
A little bourrine, and quite short. With water, much longer, smoke, spicy and a little austere.

    N-
Polish and sharp wood, nose heating. Sweet fig whirl around rooty
gingseng with a pinch of salt. Splash of water to unleash the softer
notes of coffee, caramel and citrus peels. P- Thick, mouth coating and heavy initially. Once palate accustomed to
the weight of the liquid, find the softer notes of spices, liquorice and
    medicinal.

F- Medium-long finish. Concentrated and flavoursome. Complex.

    87/88.
    • Nose
Cherry, caramel, sweet & sour sauce, orange, dried apricot, tobacco and a little peat. With water some mango.
    • Taste
Sweet & sour sauce, peat, candied cherry, caramel, mango, tobacco and pepper. Water makes some apricot come up.
    • Finish
Sweet & sour sauce, cherry, peat, caramel, apricot, milk chocolate and tobacco.

A little disgusting .. Like the best treats.
    • Nose
Cherry, plum, grapefruit, dried apricot, vanilla, honey, peat. A very sweet nose.

    • Taste
Candied fruit, dried fruit, citrus fruit, speculoos, sherry, syrupy.
    • Finish
      Long, on the fruits.

    • Nose
Very fresh, spring. Fruit of the penis, grass, citrus fruits, ginger. The alcohol tingles a little anyway. The water calm this fault. Alcohol is then much less present but it is also much less expressive although always fresh.
    • Taste
Huge bitterness. Green wood, sawdust, apricot kernel. Can be a bit of tobacco, to cook but there is mostly pepper and ginger. With water, surprisingly the bitterness is in withdrawal, but it is also a little off. Fishing very present all the same.
    • Finish
      Average length. Bitterness and fruits

It is better in the nose than in the mouth, but who likes Madeira is just right.
    • Nose
Beautiful sweet nose with oranges wrapped in tobacco leaves and covered with caramel. In addition, biscuits and dry fruits with honey and cinnamon are served. Beautiful Madeira cargo.
    • Taste
Spicy start. Dark chocolate, almonds, coffee and some oak. Malty and slightly dry / salty.
    • Finish
Medium long with spicy oak sweet oranges light smoke and some salt.

Fruity and malty aroma, sultanas, figs,

roasted chestnuts, lemon peel, cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla and

oak. Floral honey sweetness, ginger, lemon pepper, juniper berries,

eucalyptus, malt and vanilla. Medium long, sweet and herbal end.

  10. HunterRomario scored this whisky 87 points Expert Senior

As I mentioned, it reminds me of the Solstice 15th, but it is a little more vindictive and does not work so hard. Nice Hall Springbank.
    • Nose
In a blind test, I would advise ripening in the barrel barrel, reminds BenRiach of the 15th Solstice. A crisp, sour fragrance with a little bit of peat, cinnamon and chocolate. After the addition of water (4 drops to a small stick) a more fruity component appears.
    • Taste
In the spicy flavor, the strength of alcohol is known, as well as the influence of the wine barrel. After the addition of water, it is nicely rounded and green, with a very pleasant woody-spice-like reverberation, which is only slowly evaporating.
