Whisky Reviews for Aberlour 1988 DL

2 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 84.67 points

  1. MaltMartin scored this whisky 85 points Connoisseur

Interesting Aberlour, because it's an independent vintage and - more - because it's from a bourbon cask. It doesn;t have any sherry influence. Too bitter for me though.
    • Nose
Very flowery. Freesias and orchards. Heather. Also some cut-grass. Hints of galia melons at the background. Promising.
    • Taste
Quite zesty and astringent. Lemon and lime. Kiwi fruit. Orange peel. Grapefruit bitterness. Maltiness. Vanilla as well.
    • Finish
Medium long. More bitterness. Black pepper and nutmeg. Liquorice.

  2. Erik Elixir scored this whisky 84 points Connoisseur
