- Tried a different bottle not quite as good before but still a decent dram.
- As good as I remember it, for me one of the best blends out there. Simple profile but it has some depth to it.
We all know how good 60's Lochside could be, well if you don`t want the outlay of the single malt, this will give you a good indicator for £120-£150 perhaps cheaper.Lip smacking lovely lochside blend :)
- This is brilliant for my palate, simple profile, lots of satisfaction.
Great nose, toffee apple, hint of lemon, fudge, salted caramel, some other fruits either fresh pineapple or melon.Basically its toffee & fruit - great.
Everything that the nose suggested is on the palate, loads of toffee (light not dark treacle) mixed in with fruit salad.Gets more syrupy as time goes on
Pretty long, lip smacking, a simple pleasure. The toffee actually towards the end is more like caramel but the toffee sweetness profile remains
- If you see this whisky at auction or the older white label bottle (without the Highland figure, short screw cap) then do not discount it.
This blend is full of 60`s &70`s Lochside single malt and is produced by Lochside distillery.
