Inky, smoky, and somehow reminding me of Bellevue rum. Cigarette smoke and hay. With water, herbal and farmyard-like. The sherry seems to have integrated well with the peat.
Ashy and dark. No rubbery or gunpowdery notes, so the cask seems to have been of good quality. A big, burly beast, this one. I get the inky notes again, then some farmyard, then herbal tinctures and hard leather. Sometimes I forget how much taste there can be in a suitably casked Ledaig, and then bottlings like this come along to remind me...
Inky, peaty, ashy, and long. A tickle of gunpowder in the tail. Great stuff!
