The sherry jumps at you, the somewhat peculiar distillery character fades into the background (and that's not bad here for once!), The 46% are noticeable.
Soft and mouth-filling, spicy and hot (cardamom?), Then wood pushes in, that
smells like plum tree. Relatively short, but intense.
Long, fruity and malty.
- With addition of water -
light fruits and plum compote, clearer and purer than the OA
even smoother than without water, but still kicks up well, great development on the palate after swallowing, the spicy-woody builds up from behind.
Still long and fruity. As before, plum sherry at its best.
CONCLUSION: Delicious. No, very tasty and tastes (to me) a lot better than the OA.
