    decline SV
    • Nose
orange, caramel, a little wood, malt, vanilla
      sweetness to the nostrils
      a little glue, varnish
    • Taste
      peppery spices, a little rough
fruits on cooked citrus fruits, orange zest
sensation of brandy, it's young, it stings, and the scents are quite diffuse
a little moldy fruit in return
    • Finish
      moldy fruits,
      black cocoa, bitter
malt, glue for a pretty short sensation

  2. Othorion scored this whisky 84 points Expert Senior

that was a decent barrel, for the price a good malt for the way.
    • Nose
very sweet, honey, some malt, caramel, orange, a light modern touch
    • Taste
warming, but very gentle and sweet, some sherry fruit, some coffee from the oak, but not so bitter as latte,
    • Finish
Medium, the coffee stays together with some dryness and a hint of plums

    • Nose
lovely sweet. A lot of honey. And toffee. Smells almost sticky! :-) Behind it then pushes through a noticeable spiciness, which is probably due to the small stills of Edradour and their Brennereicharakter makes. Could without this background knowledge but also come from the European oak of sherry casks. Kribbelt only slightly in the nose. Not alcoholic at all.
    • Taste
creamy feeling in the mouth. Sweet sherry. Warming. Mild fruitiness, perhaps most likely in the direction of plums. A touch of oak on the palate. Significantly less spicy than I expected after the nose.
    • Finish
Medium. It leaves a sweet, mild impression. Drinkable!

Way better than the 10yo standard destillery bottle, but that's related to the selected single cask.

    • Nose
Sweet and fruity, fresh, malt, cereals, sherry, Organgen but very sweet, honey. After warming up in your hand then light seasoning and cocoa.
    • Taste
hmm Sweet, light tingle from the tongue, full, creamy, again orange and coffee, delicate floral note, sherry.
    • Finish
      medium length, fruity

a distinctive orange note makes it interesting, in the taste quite dry. Tap on Highlands, at least 46%, over 12 years.
    • Nose
      Blind tasting!
thick orange juice, caramel, brittle, a slightly alcoholic freshness, then cereal notes, wholegrain bread and pies, apple compote
    • Taste
dry-sweet, full-bodied with drier fruit notes, oranges and apricots
    • Finish
intense and strong, again the juicy fruitiness, medium long, leaves a dry and fruity impression
