    Very nice malt, which definitely carries his name and does not completely extinguish his Brennereicharakter.
    • Nose
      Sweet raisins, boiled plums, cherries, a breeze of the sea beating past, a creamy touch of fresh milk behind it, paired with the cherries was probably eponymous
    • Taste
      Strong onset, lots of red fruits, but here more likely the cherries, it is immediately astringent dry, slightly peppery and also herb chocolaty, gradually the oak spice more dominant
    • Finish
      Beautiful warmth, here again a bit maritime, a nice mix of seafood and sherry, very long us a bit woody, here now hardly astringent

    apart from the almost legendary hype about this bottling and the almost hypnotic naming (which may well hit the mark) a really horny sherried Bunna with a lot of power and intensity.
    • Nose
      Pure: in fact, if you read the name beforehand, you immediately notice an intense Black Forest cherry cake note. Long live the suggestion! Creamy, heavy chocolate note with a hint of cherry. There, again! After a while again: It now flashes in the background a little the Banana Bunna DNA, so now Black Forest cherry with banana. Oh well, let's leave that ... With water: even sweeter, more intense, maybe a little maritime harbor stink from the Bunna, but maybe that's just a dream.

      Pure: very sweet, even here solid chocolate start but is soon overpowered by a fiery pepper sharpness. But it only hurts a little, then comes darker chocolate and cherry ... I give up. With water: WET Black Forest cake. So there you have ...

    Intensely sherried Bunna can be pretty good. And in this case it is very good.
    • Nose
      Rusty metal, maybe a touch of sulphur, but not in any way bothersome. It adds a layer in my opinion. Burlap, walnuts, grain cookies. But also rich, dark cherry syrup with raisins and dates.
    • Taste
      Coffee, mocha and black pepper. Intense dried red forest fruits, and also bitter chocolate. The palate is pretty dry.
    • Finish
      Long and warming with wood spices and lots of sherry influence.

    Wow - this is a real sherry bomb. Outstanding and excellent. But one has
    to like these flavours of dark fruits, old sherry, marzipan and
    raisins. But as I very much appreciate a piece of black forest cherry
    cake this Bunnahabhain definitely is my liquid alternative.

      Full and rich with lots of treacle sherry, dark ripe fruits,
      alcohol-soaked cherries. Smells like liquid black forrest cherry cake.
      Marzipan and raisins, all the typically suspects one might expert from
      this sherry bomb. Chocolate and hints of oak come through at the end.
    • Taste
      Wow! Full explosion of all the flavours from the nose. Sweetness,
      sherry, lots of cherries and raisins, marzipan and fine dark chocolate.
      Very thick indeed.
    • Finish
      Quite long and warm finish with lots of sherry and marzipan. Creamy, dates and oak spices.

      WITH WATER: Stays creamy and keeps the sweetness of the old sherry and dark fruits. Very pleasant to drink.

    Blue blind glass and also tried in the blender glass.

    You can just smell this whisky for a long time and play with water or another glass with this variety of flavors. It's really fun.

      In the beginning, of course, it was still very compact, but you can already smell a powerful intensity.
      After 30 minutes, the compactness dissolves and primarily - of course - there is primarily a maraschino cherry pickled in rum.
      This whisky is very ripe and round. Seldom had such a beautiful sherry note that is not just plain sweet or spicy.
      At the very back there is really a very light Islay sea breeze.
      Leather is there too, but where is the 56% anyway? Great involved the alcohol.

      With water there is more fruitiness and sweetness and I thought it wasn't good for him, but then the cherry note disappears after 45 minutes and you are rewarded with a spicy, woody note of sherry.

    Lovely malt. Really a Kirsch gâteau. Nose and palate are beautiful, although not very complex. Finish a bit too harsh for me

    Too bad that taste and finish do not hold what the very interesting nose promises.

      Brandy cherries, very esterig, At the beginning freshly poured: very disturbing and clear solvents like UHU - but this disappears after about 15 minutes then opens full-bodied strong sherry, green tea and jasmine tea, a lot of tannins

    Fantastic Wemyss, full bodied, varied, deep and hearty, the name promises quite a bit, but it is even more waiting for you.
