Really solid. I like portreifungen and you get that here. I do not think he looks much younger than 15 years. Since I have drunk worse (of course better ;-)) 15-year-old Scots.
    • Nose
      84 84
decent port nose, sweet, red fruits, cherry, also a little oak, spicy, chocolate, some malt, from the nose I would blindly landed here in Scotland
    • Taste
      86 86
creamy, also here a lot of port, some cardboard, malt, wood, the 15 years you notice it already, rather sweet, but the wood is already laying over it well
    • Finish
      85 85
becomes drier aftertaste, tart, fruity, creamy and mild, nuts, dark chocolate

For 15 years in the port wine barrel, the nose is relatively fresh. Also in the mouth he does not present himself as dark as one would expect. The fruits are not quite as intense. The oak is present for that. Overall, I think that's not bad and is one of the better German whiskys. He may also call himself whisky because he does not have these Obstler or Gerstler notes. Nothing outstanding but quite good.
    • Nose
The nose is rather restrained. So there is now no enormous flavor load contrary, but you have to smell strong. Much cereal notes. Some citrus. Then strawberry and raspberry jam. Fresh tobacco leaves. Bit of walnut. Maybe remove nutmeg.
    • Taste
Also rather easy in the mouth at first. Sweet first. Malt. Sugared fruit tea. Red grape juice. Then the oak comes and makes the whole thing spicier. It tingles on the tongue. Pepper. But not uncomfortable.
    • Finish
A little tart fig. Black tea. Dark chocolate.

This is the solid evidence that age really doesn't matter.

Even though this malt is 15 y.o. there are some much younger malts which are much better, BUT to be fair, this one really tastes like solid whisky and is far better than the "average qualities" of German whisky.
